VI Preliminary round
- Test content:
- The Contestants choose one of the following two themes (in case the contestants want to participate in both themes, please register to submit two separate entries, not combined):
- Themes 1: Developing Wellness tourism in Phan Thiet City, making Phan Thiet a leading global destination by 2045.
Group 1: Topic: making Phan Thiet the world's leading M.I.C.E tourist destination by 2045 Group 2: Topic: making Phan Thiet the world's leading Wellness tourist destination by 2045. A total of 40 prizes are available to the contestants participating in the 2 topics of the contest. Each contest topic includes 20 prizes. Besides, there is also a lucky draw prize.- Part 2: Presenting the idea of developing Wellness tourism in Phan Thiet city, making Phan Thiet a leading global destination by 2045.
- Theme 2: Developing M.I.C.E tourism in Phan Thiet city, making Phan Thiet a leading global destination by 2045.

- Admission process:
- Test format:
- Multiple choice section: The Contestants answer two multiple-choice questions at the contest website
- Idea section:
- The test is eligible in PDF format only, the contestants using other platforms such as Word, Powerpoint, Canva, etc. shall export files to PDF format (in the Save as section...).
- Popular Latin fonts are recommended including Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, font size 12 for body content, 14 for heading.
- Language: Vietnamese or English. BTC encourages the contestants to submit their entries in bilingual languages to ensure that the content is conveyed correctly. In case the contestants submit a monolingual entry, the translated version will be provided by the Organizing Committee at no cost. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for the content of the translation that is different from the contestant’s desire to convey.
- Illustrations: images used in the entries must be cited under each image or indicated in the appendix.
- Charts, figures: data presented in the form of statistics, spreadsheets, charts must be cited is reference sources and contestants are responsible for the accuracy of the data.
- Video demonstration: in case the contestants use a video for presentation, they may upload the video in mp4 format to the Google drive platforms or the YouTube platform, open access and insert the link into the entries (Note: do not upload videos directly to submission section and open access). The Contestants shall be solely responsible for content, images and information in the video.
- Limit: entries shall be presented in no more than 10 A4 pages (1 side of paper), and contest file is no more than 100 MB, video length is no more than 15 minutes.
- Submission procedure: The Contestants submit their entries under the following steps:
- Enrollment: the contestants access website http://phanthietmicewellness.comclick the button Register for contest account and fill in personal information including full name, email, phone number and address. After registering for a contest account, the Contestants will directly take the multiple-choice test and submit it at the Website.
- Taking the test:
- Multiple choice: answer two multiple-choice questions, after finishing, the contestants press the “Confirm” button. The contestants with correct answers will be granted the right to submit the idea on the next page.
- Idea section: the contestants upload their entries on the website under the instructions of the Organizing Committee no later than the deadline for submitting the entries. Within 24 hours after successful submission, the Organizing Committee will send an automatic confirmation letter to the contestants’ personal mailbox.
- Scoring process:
- Themes 1: Developing Wellness tourism in Phan Thiet City, making Phan Thiet a leading global destination by 2045.
Step 1: The entries are transferred to the receiving department to be classified into 2 themes.
Step 2:The entries in each theme are sent to the respective Organizing Committee and Jury.
- Multiple-choice section: the contestants answer 2 multiple-choice questions. According to the answer of the Organizing Committee and each question is given 5 points.
- Idea section: each entry is read by 3 to 5 members of the Jury at random, each expert scores independently.
The total score of each entry is equal to: The average of scores of the experts who scored the idea section
Step 3: Based on the scores of all judges, prizes will be determined including 1 special prize, 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 3 excellent idea prizes, and 24 consolation prizes. The results will be submitted to the Organizing Committee for approval and to the Chairman of the Province People’s Committee for consideration and recognition.
- Scoring criteria: The entry is assessed on a 100-point scale.
- Multiple choice: 10 points (2 questions, 5 points each question).
- Breakthrough: breakthrough, impressive proposal ideas that have never been applied in Vietnam or in the world: maximum of 10 points.
- Feasibility: the idea has a clear and coherent presentation, a detailed implementation plan, and effective measurement methods: maximum of 20 points.
- Sustainability: the idea expresses a long-term vision and strategy, making Phan Thiet an attractive global destination by 2045 and far beyond: maximum of 20 points.
- Practicality: the idea is suitable with the current situation of Phan Thiet, in terms of the development plan in the period of 2025 - 2045, the infrastructure and superstructure that have been, are and will be deployed in the locality: maximum of 20 points.
- Investment in the entries: investment in documents, research, and diverse evidence demonstrating the contestant’s study and efforts in developing the entries: maximum of 10 points.
- Aesthetics and creativity: ideas are associated with images, designs, videos, other multimedia applications to create attractiveness of the entries: maximum of 10 points.
- Number of selection: the 30 highest scoring entries for each theme will be selected for the final round among the entries from the preliminary round.
Final round:
- Organization form: online
- Implementation:
- The Organizing Committee notifies the contestants of the results via email.
- The contestants confirm their participation in the final round within 07 days upon receiving the notice.
- The Organizing Committee sends the link of the online interview through connecting platforms such as Zoom, Google meeting, Team meeting
- Conduct online final round.
- Rules of the final rounds:
- The Contestants have a maximum of 5 minutes to introduce themselves.
- The Contestants have a maximum of 20 minutes to present their ideas for each respective theme.
- The Contestants may change the entry format into other forms of presentations for effective performance such as Powerpoint, Canva, videos, images.
- Each contestant is monitored and judged by 3-5 representatives of the Jury, the division of series is random and arranged by the Organizing Committee.
- 20 minutes of direct Q&A between the judges and the contestants, revolving around the issues in the entries.
- Each section lasts a maximum of 45 - 60 minutes, after the allotted time, the connection will be disconnected.
- Language: Vietnamese or English may be permitted. For the contestants using English language, the Organizing Committee will arrange an additional interpreter (parallel translation) to translate directly in the presentation and Q&A session. For the contestants who use other languages may arrange their own interpreters into English or Vietnamese to complete their test.
– For the contestants participating in groups, the Organizing Committee requires at least 50% of members to be present in the online section, the group of contestants actively assigns presentations, answers or exchanges with the Jury.
- Scoring criteria: The entry is assessed on a 100-point scale.
+ Conceptual content: from the content of the preliminary round, the contestants are allowed to change and develop more content, the Organizing Committee only bases on the content presented directly in the final round:
- Breakthrough: 10 points (the proposed idea is breakthrough, impressive, and has never been applied in Vietnam or in the world);
- Feasibility: 10 points (the idea has a clear and coherent presentation, a detailed implementation plan, and an effective measurement method);
- Sustainability: 10 points (the idea represents a long-term vision and strategy, making Phan Thiet an attractive global destination by 2045 and far beyond);
- Practicality: 20 points (the idea is suitable for the current situation of Phan Thiet, in terms of the development plan in the period of 2025 - 2045, the infrastructure and superstructure that have been, are and will be deployed in Vietnam);
+ Presentation skills:
- Eloquence, voice, style, confidence and fluency: maximum of 10 points.
- The presentation is unique, impressive, and integrated with video, images, surveys, charts, etc. to create attractiveness: maximum of 10 points.
+ Answering the questions:
- Persuasive content: 20 points.
- Fast reaction, showing good preparation and improvisation: 10 points.
